Amazon Rainforest

The Amazon is the world's largest
tropical rainforest.
It covers an area of nearly 2.8 million square miles,
which is nearly the size of the continent of Australia. The Amazon Rainforest
gets its life from the majestic Amazon River, the world's second largest river,
which runs directly through the heart of the region. The rainforest itself is
simply the drainage basin for the river and its many tributaries.
The vast
forest itself consists of four layers, each featuring its own ecosystems and
specially adapted plants and animals.
The forest floor is the lowest region. Since only two percent of the sunlight filters through the top layers to the understory, very few plants grow here.

vegetation and the bodies of dead organisms, which are quickly broken down into

People have been using
money for hundreds of years. Before money gave specific values for things,
people simply traded items. In the United States, we use the dollar as our
currency or money, but people in different parts of the world use different
currencies, though some countries also use or accept our dollars.
People earn money from
the jobs they work and use that money to save for the future, pay for their
houses, cars, food, taxes, medical needs and household items among other
things. Even things such as turning the lights on, using the air conditioning
or heat, and connecting to the internet cost money.

The Bald Eagle is a
majestic bird. The adult bird has a brown body, brown wings, white head, and
large, hooked yellow bill. Younger birds appear all brown.
Bald Eagles almost
always live near water because their main food source is fish. Sometimes,
however, Bald Eagles will eat dead animals (carrion). They will even steal food
from other birds such as ospreys and gulls! It was for this reason that the
famous Patriot Benjamin Franklin preferred the Wild Turkey as America's
National symbol. Nevertheless, the Bald Eagle remains America's symbol.

White Shark

The Great White Shark is the largest
predatory shark, and is probably the most well-known and feared shark. The
Great White Shark is gray or bluish above and white below. The largest Great
Whites can reach lengths of 22 feet and weigh up to 5,000 pounds. Most are
between 13 and 16 feet and weigh 1,500-2,400 pounds.
The Great White has massive teeth,
which are positioned in rows and serrated. When the Great White attacks, it
bites its prey and shakes it head back and forth. The serrated teeth act as a
saw and literally tear the victim apart. The Great White Shark often swallows
many of its own teeth in an attack.
The Great White Shark normally feeds
on fish, seals, dolphins, porpoises, otters, and turtles. It is thought to
locate its prey by electrosense and by smell. Like all sharks, Great Whites
have special pores called Ampullae of Lorenzini, which enable them to detect
the electromagnetic fields radiated by moving organisms. Great Whites can
detect voltage as small as one half billionth of a volt.

Tyrannosaurus Rex, also known as T-Rex, was one of the largest land predators
to have ever lived. The T-rex could grow to 40 feet in length (a little longer
than a school bus) and could stand 13 feet tall at the hips (about three feet
taller than a basketball hoop). It lived in what is now western North America
and may have even been partly covered in feathers.

Have
you ever had the flu? If you have, you know how miserable it can make you feel.
Most kids will get the flu sometime during their school years. When you have
the flu, you usually get a fever (which can be high), have a cough, feel very
tired, and may have a sore throat as well. It can make you feel sick for a few
days or for as long as a week.
Sometimes, it can be hard to tell if you have
the flu or a cold, but with the flu, you'll usually have a higher fever and
feel much worse. The flu is a type of virus, which means medicine will only
help the symptoms such as the cough and fever. For most kids, the flu comes and
goes, but for some, it can be a serious illness.
Most
kids get the flu in the winter because germs spread more easily when kids are
inside in settings such as classrooms. The best way to prevent from getting the
flu is to wash your hands often, keep your hands to yourself, and go to your
doctor for the flu shot or mist.

Spiders are very interesting. Some spin silk webs to catch and eat prey, while others attack their prey. Some spiders, like tarantulas, are large enough to eat lizards and mice! Butterflies are some of the most interesting insects on the
planet Earth. There are more than seventeen thousand different kinds of

Butterflies go through four main stages of life.
The first stage is the egg stage followed by the larva stage. As a larva, or
caterpillar, the future butterfly eats as much as possible. As it grows, it
sheds it outer skin, or exoskeleton. This may happen four or five times. After a
few weeks, the caterpillar enters the next stage of its life, the chrysalis
stage. In the chrysalis, the caterpillar will liquefy into a soup of living
cells. Then, it will reorganize into a butterfly and the metamorphosis is
complete. In later parts of the chrysalis stage, you can see the forming
butterfly through the chrysalis.
When the butterfly emerges from the chrysalis, it pumps its wings to send blood through them so that it can fly. Most butterflies only live a couple of weeks, just enough time to drink flower nectar and to mate. Some, like the Monarch Butterfly, however, may live many months.

The blue whale is the largest living animal to
have ever lived on the planet Earth. Blue Whales are way larger than the
largest dinosaur that ever lived.The largest Blue Whales can grow as large as
100 feet long, which is longer than three school buses put together!
Even though blue whales are huge, they eat tiny
creatures known as krill. Krill are tiny shrimp-like animals. The whale simply
opens its mouth, fills it with krill and salt water, and filters the water out
of plates in its mouth called baleen. The blue whale may eat over 8,000 pounds
of krill in a single day!
It is amazing animal in the ocean and I think that it is the king of the ocean.

Redwood Trees

The magnificent Redwood trees are some of the
largest trees in the world! They are found mostly in northern California where
cool temperatures, misty rains, and dense fog allow them to grow.

Redwood Trees can live thousands of years. The
oldest of these trees can grow to over 300 feet tall. Some rise higher than the
Statue of Liberty! A few are so wide, that roads can be built through them.
Redwoods trees are preserved in California's
Redwood National Park. Every year, nearly a million visitors come to see the
giant trees. Others just like to drive along the 33-mile long Avenue of the
Giants, a road that winds through the park and surrounding areas.

When white sunlight enters a raindrop, it exits the raindrop a different color. When light exits lots of different raindrops at different angles, it produces the red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet that you see in a rainbow. Together, these colors are known as the spectrum. These colors can sometimes be seen in waterfalls and fountains as well.

In 1274, Italian explorers Marco and Niccolo Polo set
out on a 24 year journey in which they traveled the famous Silk Road from Italy, through brutal deserts and towering mountains to eastern China.
They traveled over 4,000 miles in all. Marco and Niccolo were among the very first Europeans to explore the fabled empire of China. In China, Marco Polo even worked for ruler Kublai Khan. Polo detailed his experiences and findings in China by writing a book. Polo described materials and inventions never before seen in Europe. Paper money, a printing press, porcelain, gunpowder and coal were among the products he wrote about. He also described the vast wealth of Kublai Khan, as well as the geography of northern and southern China. European rulers were very interested in the products Polo described.
However, trading for them along the Silk Road was dangerous, expensive and impractical. European rulers began to wonder if there was a sea route to the east to get the products they wanted at a reasonable price.

Buffalo Hunters
The great herds of buffalo that roamed the plains

Before the introduction of the horse, Sioux warriors would hunt the buffalo by dressing up as wolves as tricking them into running off of cliffs and ledges. They would also dress up in buffalo skins and make crying sounds like a baby buffalo. When an adult buffalo went to investigate, the warriors would kill it with spears and arrows.
The Sioux Indians used the entire buffalo following a kill. The buffalo hide was used for making clothes, moccasins, and robes. The hair was used to make rope and the horns were used as cups and dishes. Children fashioned sleds out of buffalo ribs, and buffalo fat was used as glue. Most importantly, buffalo meat provided food for the entire village. Much of the buffalo meat that was collected was cooked and dried.

Green Color

Green is a beautiful color. In nature, the grass that you walk on is green and the leaves that you see on trees are usually green . Most of the plants that you see are green too! Frogs are green and many grasshoppers are green too. Turtles are different shades of green.
Green color is good for our earth. Green is also the name used to describe the movement to make products the do not harm the earth. Green products are often those made from recycled materials or those that are safe to throw out in the trash
I read that green color passage and I think so it is my favorite color because green like the nature. When I saw trees or grass at my home or the waterfall I fell good, it made my eyes comfortable.

I was read some website the writer wrote about learning vocabulary and told the important of vocabulary. Vocabulary is basic and very important when you learn foreign languages. You can't understand, read,
write, and speak if you don't know vocabulary.
Learn English vocabulary is a long process that you must follow. There are some tips for you:
- Find and buy a good dictionary because dictionary is the best friend to help you understand meaning of the new words.
- Set up a habit to learn vocabulary everyday, every where, any time.
- Don't learn too many words in a day. You will feel tired and bored after few days. 5-10 words a day are enough.
- Reading is a good way to learn vocabulary. Take note all new words and learn them.
- Play with words by crossword games, hangman, flash cards, etc...
- Listening is a good method to learn vocabulary. Copy listening mp3 to your cellphone, mp3 players, etc ... and listen to them anywhere, any time.
- Test your vocabulary you have just learned to refresh your memory. Remember that the more often you read, listen, and speak a word, the longer you remember it.
If we remember many vocabulary, it is easy for us to study or talking with the foreifners. There are many resorces for improve our language.

The teacher told the class about this subject. The name of subject is ' Curriculum and Learning Management in English '
The objective is making the curriculum of raise subject, analyse standard and content of learning in each grades for make learning unit. The plan of management in period, form and the method of management that connect with learning English.In addition, They are connect with the materials in English content and measured the management of English subject. Next, this is the content in curriculum standard in English subject. There are four contents or four cores.
First, The language for communication. It is focus on understanding and interpret when you listened and have read from the others materials. You can give opinion reasonably.Second, The language and culture. It is focus on understanding relationship between language with culture and suitable for use it.Third, The language of the relationship with the contents. It is focus on using the foreign language to connect with the knowledge of other contents and it is basic to develop, finding knowledge and opening the world by yourself. And the last one, The language and relationship with community. It is focus on using the foreign language in other situations within school, community and society.
The curriculum is the useful to teach subject to learners and when the teacher want to teach many contents, many contents must match with core or objective with curriculum. The teacher can put the standard and indicator in her/his lesson plan. Finally, all of these are process.

There are eight countries are the best education in Asean group consist of Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippine, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. In addition, In 2013 Thailand is 55 of 60 countries about the ability of language.
First of all, there are three techniques of many good techniques for teaching English. First, communicative Language Teaching (CLT). It has many principles to describe consist of make real communication the focus of language learning, provide opportunities for learners, be to learnt of learners' errors, the learners must develop both accuracy and fluency, to teach all skills and let learners doing and thinking by themselve. In addition, The communicative Competences have four purposes such as linguistics competence, sociolinguistics competence, discourse competence and strategic competence. The activities are develop students' communicative by teaching grammar and they can use these to real situation. Moreover, they can apply to knowledge and use the real materials. Next, the content-Based Instruction (CBI) is the use of content more than language. The last technique is task-based language Teaching (TBLT) is an approach based on the use of task. Task is an activity or goal that using language. In addition, the main points of TBL are process, communication and purposeful activities and tasks. There are three for process of activity consist of pre-task is introduction to topic and task, the task cycle consist of task and planning and report. Its focus analysis and practice.
These are what I learned today. It may difficult for me but it is the important to make the curriculum and use for teach in the future. Most of techniques for teaching English are very very important to develop learners' skill and teacher's work. Have you ever heard the curriculum ?
The curriculum is very important to teach student because it is plan in each day for teacher's teaching. I have read the one book about the primary curriculum box it is interested for me. Primary Curriculum Box is a resource book of materials and activities for pupils aged between six/seven and eleven/twelve. The book is divided into five curriculum subjects. There subjects are Science, The Environment, Math, Arts (art and drama) and Literacy. This book includes more than 50 activities to help teachers develop pupils’ knowledge of content and language. All activities have teachers’ note with ideas for follow –up activities for future practice. I am interested this book and the many way in this.
This book described the CLTL and it is Content and Language Integrated Learning, is teaching contexts in which subject content is taught through another language. The curriculum materials are progress in difficulty, both in terms of content, concepts and language level. The activities in Primary Curriculum Box are suitable for use with pupils who are learning other curriculum subjects in English. The activities have been designed to develop knowledge of subject vocabulary and language forms.
Who is Primary Curriculum Box for?
There are teacher and learner. For teacher is suitable for primary teachers of English or teacher who teach curriculum subjects through English on content-based program. So, teacher needs to help learners move from lower thinking skills to higher thinking skills. And, learners are suitable for three age groups, for pupils aged between six and twelve.
Primary Curriculum Box is the one way to improve teachers’ teacher. It is important to use the target language to encourage and support the wok of individual pupils. These are suitable for use with pupils. The activities can supplement course books or provide stand-alone curriculum lesson. It can improve the vocabulary, knowledge, language or skills to learners.

Process writing and the internet: Blog and Ning Network in the Classroom.

The internet can be used in a variety of ways to support process writing. The internet is one of material for develop the other skills of student. It is important for teacher to teach students through internet and tell them the advantage and disadvantage from internet. It is necessary for learning and using for process students’ skill such as writing skill by making a paragraph into Blog or Ning. Blog and Ning are a good way to develop writing skill and there are many steps to make the correct paragraph. Blog and Ning Networks are two widely used online platforms that can be easily make process.(Ferris and Hedgcock, 2005)
The meaning of Blog and Ning is different but there are the advantage to develop writing skill too. First, a blog is a web page with regular diary or journal and it is not posting by authors and responses to these posts by an audience. Blog is easy to set up and post that simple to comment on. Two websites that support the free creation of blog is www.blogger.com. Second, Ning is an alternative to a blog is a group social networking site (www.ning.com). Ning provides more tools than a blog; it is a place where smaller group of users can create their own profiles, upload videos and photos, and write their own blog. Next, writing task 1: blogging an argumentative essay consist of topic selection, pre-writing activities, drafting an introductory paragraph, peer review of the introductory paragraph, drafting and revising the argumentative essay, and sharing written production. Afterward, writing task 2 : using Ning to compose an expository paragraph consist of topic selection, pre-writing activity, drafting the expository paragraph, collaborative review by whole class, drafting and revising an expository paragraph and publishing the expository paragraph.(Ferris and Hedgcock, 2005)
The activities described how to use social networking tools to conduct the pre-writing drafting, peer review, and revising steps of the writing process. In addition, the developing is important for writing and other skills in English is important to learning too. The student can upload the interesting images, sound and videos including their works. When writing about topics that are relevant to their needs and interests, students are apt to respond enthusiastically.
